Sipat-Suri sa Pelikulang “Mga Kuwentong Barbero” ni Jun R. Lana mula sa Teoryang Feminismo

Abstract

 This research focuses on and covers an in-depth analysis of the
movie “Mga Kuwentong Barbero” by Jun R. Lana using radical and
liberal Feminism. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive
design because the researcher wanted to show the female issues that
surfaced in the film and the scenes that show the weakness and strength
of the heroine. In this study, content analysis was used, and based on the
explorations in the film, the most dominant topic is the "recognition and
acceptance of women's abilities, standing for Freedom and consuming
the forces of brutality. Meanwhile, ten (10) characters, five (5) settings,
and seven (7) symbolisms and associations showed the importance of
feminism through a change in the view of women's abilities.
The research findings are significant, with nine (9) scenes that
highlight Feminism, sixteen (16) scenes that showcase women's
strength, and seven (7) scenes that reveal the vulnerability of the female
characters. The researcher meticulously reviewed and evaluated the
study, developing a questionnaire that was answered by five (5) Teacher
III from the Division of San Jose City, Nueva Ecija, at the San Jose City
National High School. The result, a substantial 3.95 percent, underscores
the importance of the research. The researcher also created a SelfLearning Kit, which was answered by five (5) Teacher III from San Jose
City National High School, resulting in a total of 3.81 percent. These
findings can significantly enhance interactive learning for students in
Grade 8.
